Randall Stephenson became chairman and chief executive officer of AT&T Inc. in 2007, and in the years following he has transformed the company into a global leader in mobile Internet services and IP-based business communications solutions.
Mr. Stephenson began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1982 in Oklahoma. From 2001 to 2004, he was the company's senior executive vice president and chief financial officer, and from 2004 to 2007, he served as the company's chief operating officer. He was appointed to AT&T's board of directors in 2005. He received his B.S. in accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma, and his master of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma.
